A photography. A story

This photograph was taken a few weeks ago in Huacachina, Peru. They tell him the oasis in the desert. This trip was not for vacations, along with some colleagues from the university selected us to present at an important Congress of Scoiology. Imagine, at my age in a congress! It was exciting, I never thought I would travel outside Chile without my family, and less for something so important!

I was two weeks in Lima, Peru. It was a journey full of learning, both academic and personal. I went to conferences of great sociologists and also met wonderful people from other countries, I learned about their cultures, their countries, their stories, their lives.

It was very important to me. At first I felt fear, because everything was unknown. My biggest support was my friends, it was nice because I also knew more about them, we had to resist for two weeks! Each with their tricks, we managed to get along and have a good coexistence.

I upload this photo with my friends in the oasis and not in the congress for graphic representation. Every life is an oasis in this great world, it is worth knowing and caring. I am happy for the opportunity, the teachings and the laughter that this trip gave me.
